  1. Hebrews 12:1-3 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

  2. Where would I even begin?

“They will put some of you to death and you will be hated by all men because of Me, but not a hair of your head will perish.”

“For the love of Christ compels us, being convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died, and He died for all so that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for Him who died for them and rose again.”

“In this is love: not that we have loved God, but that He loved us, and gave His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.”

Also, John chapter 17 (the whole thing).

I could go on, but that’s what came to mind immediately at this moment.

      1. LOL.

I read some of what you wrote on Hosea. I certainly like that book a lot.

How much is really obvious from a single comment, telling what verses I like? LOL. I do care about Him – He is my life (but isn’t that just what it means to be a Christian); did I forget to mention how much I like Psalm 63, particularly, “My heart thirsts for You, my body yearns for You, in a dry and weary land. Thus have I seen You in the sanctuary, to behold Your power and Your glory. Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, my lips will praise You.” – but your compliment tastes strange to me. What does ‘full of great depth’ mean?

      2. Meaning most people don’t like to go beneath the surface of their faith. Meaning many people are content with the surface of the gospel.
I don’t think there is anything wrong with a persons favorite verse being John 3:16. There isn’t much that can so clearly point to the gospel. But you used much more obscure scripture that you are very passionate about. It is telling. And a beautiful encouragement!
