Perhaps it’s the caffeine talking (I never drink coffee and did today) but I am ready to face the world today!
Brace for Joy
Monday’s are overwhelming. Sometimes just life in general. Yet, today I have a word of encouragement for those of us who need it most.
Trial and Peace
I’m in the middle of some stuff. I’m guessing most of you are. This is the way life goes. Ebbs and flows. Instead of being shaped by our circumstances and responding in kind, there is a chance for something greater in every trial.
In Lamentations the prophet Jeremiah is mourning probably the most tragic thing any of us will never have to experience. The things he has seen as a survivor of a siege is a level of inhumanity that has been almost eliminated from our world. Almost.
Yet, in the middle of the book he holds out hope. I’m sure I have written about this passage before because it’s he closest thing I have to a life verse. Chapter 3, and most specifically verse 24, are significant to me because of my own journey.
Mercy and Waiting
So, as you go through your joys and difficulties today, I hope you can remember to wait on the Lord for his mercies. There are plenty for you today, look for them as you go through out your responsibilities. He has goodness and love for the soul that seeks him! Amen
22 The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; 23 they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. 24 The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in him.” 25 The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him. 26 It is good that one should wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.
This was so beautifully written, you’re incredibly talented xx
